1. BOOKING TICKETS ONLINE
Most shows can be booked online chesterfieldtheatres.co.uk All tickets purchased online through the Chesterfield Theatres website are through a company called Tickets.Com. The fee for booking on our website is exactly the same as if you book in person or over the phone - 50p per ticket. This will increase to £1 from Tuesday 2 May.

*If a customer requests tickets to be sent out by post to a UK address, a charge of 70p per transaction will be made to cover the cost of post and packing. This will increase to 80p from March 2017.

The Winding Wheel and Pomegranate Theatre will only open to the public for events and performances, including 60 minutes before shows so that people can pick up tickets booked online or buy them on the day.

Payment types in person: Credit/debit card, cash or cheques payable to Chesterfield Borough Council. 
Payment types over the phone: Credit/debit card

3. BOOKING FEE

The fee for booking on our website is exactly the same as if you book in person or over the phone - 50p per ticket. This will increase to £1 from Tuesday 2 May.

• This charge will apply to all customers.

4. RESTORATION LEVY

All ticket prices for Council promoted live productions include a £1.50 compulsory Theatre Restoration Levy per ticket.

This was introduced in February 2014 with the aim of helping to make further improvements to deliver an even higher quality of service, especially by improving the foyers, bars, lifts, toilets and seating in both Theatres to protect their future.

All ticket prices stated on chesterfieldtheatres.co.uk already include the Restoration Levy where applicable.

6. ADDITIONAL TICKET INFORMATION

6a. Tickets to see productions from local companies such as community groups and hirers may be pre-sold by the companies themselves. Therefore, when booking opens at the Box Office, availability may be limited. 

6b. Reservations will be held for a maximum of 4 working days. On the day of a performance, reservations are held until 30 minutes before the start of the show.

6c. Group Bookings discounts for groups of 10 or more are available for many shows.

6d. Children are welcome at the Pomegranate Theatre and Winding Wheel but please see individual shows for guidance on age restrictions:

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
  • All children regardless of age, must have a ticket for the performance
  • Babies up to one year old can sit on a guardian's lap at no charge and will be issued with a complimentary ticket. Any child one year and older will be required to sit in a paid for seat.
  • Booster seats are available at the Pomegranate Theatre.

6e. Concessions only applicable on certain shows, see individual events for information. Where applicable, are available to children under 16, adults over 60, full time students, people receiving job seekers allowance, Universal Credit with no earned income, Housing Benefit or who receive Universal Credit with a housing element included and people claiming Council Tax Support. Please be prepared to provide proof of status. 

Please note that as from Saturday 1 April 2017 there will be a change to Concessions and evidence required. Concessions, where applicable, will be available to those under 16, people at or over the national state retirement age and in receipt of state pension, full-time students, active armed forces members, carers in receipt of carers’ allowance, carers credit or carers premium (when accompanying the person registered to care for), and people claiming certain benefits. Please be prepared to provide proof of status. Customers who hold a current Friends of the Pomegranate Theatre Concessionary Membership will be entitled to Friends concessionary prices until the expiry date of their current membership. After that date, membership renewals will be subject to the criteria detailed above.

  • People at or over the national state retirement age and in receipt of state pension
  • Children and young people under the age of 16
  • Care leavers under the age of 25.

 

 

Photographic ID, Pension book/ award letter within the last 12 months from the Department of Work and Pensions.

Photographic ID.

Letter / Entitlement Notice from the relevant Local Authority.

Other:

  • Active armed forces members
  • A carer in receipt of carers’ allowance, carers credit or carers premium  (when accompanying the person registered to care for).

 

Photographic armed forces ID card.

Award letter within the last 12 months from the Department of Work and Pensions.

6f. National Theatre Tokens are accepted for most performances. Please ask for details.

6g.Special offers and discounts apply to full price tickets only, except where indicated. Please note each offer may only be used once per person, per performance, and not in conjunction with any other discount, offer or concession and can not be used retrospectively. Chesterfield Theatres reserves the right to introduce or withdraw prices or discounts without notice. Please note some offers may only be available through the Box Office and not online. Please also note our exchange policy below.

6h. Exchanges can only be offered if tickets are returned at least 24 hours prior to the performance. Ticket(s) can be exchanged for an alternative performance of the same production, but credit will not be given when the ticket(s) being exchanged for are of a lower value. If the ticket exchanged for is of a higher value then the difference must be paid. Credit vouchers can be given if a customer would like to  purchase tickets for a different production. A charge will be made for this service. We can only refund ticket money in the event of cancellation by the venue.

  • to refuse to serve you alcohol if, in our reasonable opinion, we believe that you are intoxicated or likely to become intoxicated if we serve you further alcoholic beverages.
