Part of a season of seven plays to celebrate 70 years of the Pomegranate Theatre as a civic theatre.

Sister George is a beloved character on a popular radio soap opera, a cheerful nurse who bicycles about the countryside singing hymns and doing good. In private life, June Buckridge, the actress who plays the character, is in a long-term relationship with Alice “Childie” McNaught. Due to low ratings, cut-backs and June's own bad behaviour, the BBC decides that Sister George is no longer for this world.

A timeless examination of the public and private lives of celebrities.
