Accessibility

Here you will find general information about access at the theatres.

Please view our accessible events page to find out what's coming up at the Winding Wheel Theatre.

We have a dedicated page with access information for the Winding Wheel Theatre.

Chesterfield Theatres has dedicated spaces for wheelchair users and their essential companions. Customers with other access needs are entitled to bring one essential companion free of charge.

We have recently updated our ticketing system. Customers with access needs will continue to be able to book wheelchair user spaces on our website. However, in our new system, customers with other access needs who require an essential companion will also be able to book online.

To offer the best service possible when you are at the event, customers who are booking on behalf of someone with an access need should book by phone or in person.

To activate the option to book accessible tickets online, you will need to complete our access register.

To do this, please sign into your existing account or create a new account. When creating a new account, the access register will be part of the sign up process. If signing into an existing account, the access register can be located and updated under “Other preference” which is in “My Account” as shown below.

Available wheelchair user spaces are marked with an  icon and essential companion seats are marked with an E.

Essential companion tickets for customers who are not a wheelchair users can be booked anywhere in the auditorium, therefore the seats will not be marked with an E. Instead, upon completion of the access register you will see the essential companion as a ticket type when you are checking out.
