At the Winding Wheel

Starts 7.30pm.

This talk has been postponed.

In early 2002 Alan & Sylvia purchased 11 acres of unimproved grassland to create a private nature reserve for the purposes of education and research along with self enjoyment and activity. In the 14 years that followed 5000 broadleaf trees have been planted, a log cabin, woodland shelter and wetland have been built, and the reserve now a haven for birds and wildlife in the countryside, notably the illustrious Barn Owl, with 36 chicks raised on the reserve. Their work has also been recognised by features on Countryfile and BBC Midlands Today. The talk will take viewers on a journey through the development of the reserve illustrated by unique footage taken by Alan and Sylvia, with an insightful commentary by Alan throughout.
