Chesterfield Theatre Friends
The Friends group was formed in 2007 to help preserve, promote and protect the future of Chesterfield Theatre with the immediate aim of raising funds to support the 2009 celebrations of 60 years of civic theatre in Chesterfield.

Since then they have also become involved in the creation of a dedicated archive for the Theatre. The archive contains a combination of personal memories and digital recording of photos, programmes, playbills and other materials and will be available to view on their website soon. The information uploaded to the website so far has been gleaned from material, collected over decades, from various sources. It's been a long journey to get the archive to this point, but there's still a lot left to do. The Chesterfield Theatre Friends welcome contributions from anyone who can fill in any gaps or omissions.

Work on the digital archive has been paused, while the hard copies are in storage for the duration of renovation work at the theatre, but The Friends continue to meet regularly to arrange fund-raising events and organise the 'In Conversation' Series - a programme of talks followed by sharing a sociable lunch of soup and a roll in the theatre bar.

Youth Theatre
For ages 7-25, Youth Theatre members will experience all aspects of stagecraft in weekly workshops led by experienced facilitators. These workshops promote teamwork, social skills, emotional intelligence, creativity and confidence.

The Pomegranate Youth Theatre performs regularly at the Pomegranate Theatre and in surrounding areas at festivals, in open air and in schools.

Youth Theatre productions explore issues relevant to members and the local area through research, improvisation, devising, scripting and performing.
